My name is Bernie. Proud owner of LC Torana. I love this Forum and have decided to come a part of. With any luck, I have posted a few photos of my car.
My wife and I built 'her (Tatianna)' about 5 years ago. Please ignore my spelling in the future.....( lol...... )
My wife is typing for me now. I am a huge Torana/Holden man, having owned one after the other for all of my past 17 driving years!!!!
Enjoy the photos, Bernie

Cold air intake, I fabricated out of a aluminium plate, it picks up outside air from #1 behind front grill and #2 from underneath beside front airdam via 3" pipe. Plate seals against bonnet.
MYLJ, yes it was genuine GTR, however, registered on body number alone.
Cheers, Bernie

Firstly, sorry about the photos sizes. we are still trying to figure out what the hell we are doing!!!
Secondly, thanks to the person who edited my post so it looks more like, I know what I am doing. I think it may have been Heath, Cheers Mate!!
I need some help posting pictures, the way that you guys do!!!! Thanks.
Now for all those interested,
Some Spec's;
1970 LC GTR;
External Colour: Aquarius.
Interior Colour: Tan/Brown.
Engine: 202 Black, Counter-balanced Crank, Starfire Rods, Hypertectic Pistons,
Competition Bearings, Molly Rings, 38-78 Dynotech Cam (Hyd), 186 red Head, Extensive Porting, Stainless Valves, LT1 Springs, Roller Rockers, Elec Dizzy, Elec Fuel Pump, Tuned Length Extractors, 2 1/2" System, Triple 1 3/4" SU's, Fully Balanced, Lightened Flywheel, Decent Harmonic Balancer.
Driveline: M21, 2.78 Banjo.
Wheels & Suspension: Koni Adjustable Shocks, King Springs, Swaybars F & R, 6x13 Centrelines, 225 Rears, 205 Fronts.
Heath, Yes, I designed the plate to double as a heat shield aswell as essentially making 1/3 of the engine bag into a cold air box.
The extractors are also insulated. Works very well.
Please feel free to ask questions, but be patient with me as I am a VERY slow typer!!!! LOL

By the way, I'm not the one who edited your post; only a mod has that power, so it would have been one of Tiny, Dattoman, Tinkers etc
Looks like you've sorted everything out with the photos though, if you need a hand resizing anything or got some technical troubles, send me a PM and I should be able to sort you out.
Welcome aboard, it's nice having people with modifications on their car that are a designed and fabricated by themselves... or someone who knows what they're doing anyway.

I see that the heater box isn`t hooked up so where does the 1 hose from the thermostat housing go???????

Very well spotted mate!!!!
In fact that hose you refer to, is a dummy hose. It's propose
is to protect the often very fragile mechanical temp sender wire.
This is something I tried after a couple of failures of this sender wire.
I found this dummy hose protected the wire from engine vibration and
subsequent failure. Seems to work well and looks semi factory.
gtrboyy,
Thank you for your question,
I have a good strong engine in this car with a very flat torque curve.
I have experimented with many dif ratios and have found that mainly
due to the light weight of the LC and wide torque spread, 2.78 gives me
the best comprimise between performance, ecomony and drive ability.
I have read a lot of comments about how 2.78's are too tall for outright
acceleration and around town drivability.
However, my car launches very easily but pulls very strongly from as
little as 1800 rpm and still runs a low 14 second quarter mile. (hand timed)
Having said that, this car with 3.36 or even 3.08 is capable of easy high 13's.
Cheers, Bernie

Firstly, thank you Tinkers, for all of your help. Much appreciated.
Took a couple of interior photos today, plus a couple of others.
Sorry about all the photos, still trying to figure out how to make the
outside shots the same size.
Still on my L's when it comes to computers. LOL
Enjoy,

G'day surfmaster,
If you could tell your cook, that it is infact a white
paint pen around the guages.
The flash makes it seem really bright or really white.
In normal light it just looks clean.
Unfortunately the guages are a miss match, still looking
for genuine ones that I can afford.
Did the photos turn out OK?
