As has been discussed in another thread, I will be getting some new discs made. Providing I win my battles with the ATO. I was going to just get Torry pattern discs made, but thought that other stud patterns may be needed. Just follow the directions in the poll to make it easy for me.

Once replacement discs are availible, will the conversion be more easily feasible? Or are there still other parts that are quite difficult to source? Cheers

If you haven't already got the calipers , brackets etc then they might be alittle hard to find
I think Chop is doing a service for those who already have them
Moreso than doing them so people can do it from scratch

If you don't organise the rest of the bits now, they will be impossible to get once the discs are available. Most people aren't getting the conversion due to the lack of discs. Once I announce they are available new, any spare UC disc brake diffs wil disappear very quickly.
Plus the discs will only be available to those who have rear discs in their car for the first 6 months after they are available for sale. Otherwise, people will buy them and have them sit in the shed for 10 years, instead of going to those people who actually need them.

It costs around $110 to get a blank pair of discs drilled. That's the main reason for the poll.

where do i sign up for a set of uc rear disc, managed to pick up a complete disc diff with rotors and calipers, very interisted in a set of Slotted Rears though??

There are other calipers that can be used (basically identical - Dats?) so only the hangers would need to be cast..........or machined..... 
Then only A9X handbrake cables need to be made.
Multifit - HQ/Torana, but HQ if only one pattern. Then I'll change to BW78 and swap out the front.....

There has been a slight delay. I was in the car one night a few months ago. The last thing I remember clearly is slowing down to turn left. The next thing I remember is being helped out of the car. Witnesses said I was stopped wwhen a 4WD hit the back of me. The owner said he was doing about 80 KPH when he hit. Car was written off, I'm not much better. They will be done in order of priority. Hopefully in a couple of months I'll have a pretty picture of 10 new discs to post here.

Hi guys, it's Uncle Chop Chop here.
I'm sitting having a few beers with Vick and noticed the reply to this thread I started over eight years ago.
Short story is that these discs have not been made YET. Long story is I was very badly injured in a car crash.
My physical recovery was obviously the priority. I'm now back at full time work as a technician for BMW. I have
more than enough cash to get these discs made, but I lack the time and motivation. If I had a registered Torry
and was going to use Torana four wheel discs, they would be organised next week. My new priority is buying
a couple of aces of land and building a house on it. All things being equal, this will start sometime during 2018.
Should I decide to get these discs made, or should I decide not to go through with this, I will update here.

As I said 18 months ago, buying a place of my own is a bigger priority than getting these discs made. I will not be asking for "x" amount of people to pay a deposit first, that generally doesn't eventuate. WHEN the decision is made, I will simply get a batch made. Then I will state how many pairs are available, along with the price.
As far as my physical recovery goes, I am doing MUCH better than anybody ever expected. I have almost completed physio/rehab, which has had a high emphasis on torture. Because of this success, I have decided to return to playing competitive sport. I haven't competed at all since April 1991. That drought should break around Feb next year. Full details will be provided at least six weeks before the event in South Melbourne. Video should be available for those of you who can't attend.

As I now have most other things sorted, getting these discs made is now my second priority. I should be making an order around September 2020 at the latest.
