Something from the late 60's. March 1970
Was it a race car? Not that I'm aware of.

Of all the images I've looked at (lots and lots) I haven't found one with a rego sticker on the window.
I'll just take the opportunity to thank GTRXU1 for confirming the number from the engineering report and Norm Darwin for supplying me the clear image.

This story sounds better...........
The chassis was based on a trimmed down HT sedan front subframe graphed to a fully fabricated chassis and fibreglass body.
The engine was a 350 Chevrolet V8 unit with a Saginaw 4 speed manual transmission.
Unfortunately, the power to weight ratio was deemed to be too dangerous and the project was scrapped.

Look at the rego date off the Vic Roads search.

These plates would go well on your car if you were in Vic. Mark.
Look at the rego date off the Vic Roads search.
Yeh,give or take, close, right if I was in VIC.

I'm tipping the day of the media shots, they took the plates of a Holden exec's car at Lang Lang and screwed them on to the GTR-X?
If you look at watt's link, (pun) in some of the frames the plates are on but in others they aren't.

No..............I'm just happy with the plates.
Only part off a GTR-X that I'll ever own.
