What sort of price would a standard g-pack be fetching these days?

I would say the hard bit is finding an umolested one. Price would be 2-4K IMHO. I think a concourse one could go for as much as 8K.

I never thought i would say that a g pack looks good but that yellow one looks sick! wicked ,,infact
your red one could look just as good with minimal work  :spoton:

Hey Hawks,

Felt a bit weird to catch up on this thread again and see your G-Pak, I had a double take thinking someone had take a pic of my car! Funny to see another one so close to mine.

Question for you - is that a fresh spray? If so, did you have much trouble getting the stripes put back on accurately? Mine is a well kept (garaged) red G-Pak, and one of these days I'll have to go for a body freshen-up, simply because the paint is getting thinner from all the polishing and occassional cutting over the years. And I'll want the stripes put back, of course.

Great to see someone else keeping a G-Pak looking original, too.

Cheers,
Jason.

Jason,
My car was sprayed a couple of years ago, and the stripes are painted. The stripes on the yellow car in the magazine are actually stickers.
I have a few spare paint mask "G-Pak" logos (to put over the orange when you spray the stripe) but you will have to mask off the stripes. They are vinyl stickers that have been cut out by computer. Let me know if you want some and i will post them to you.
No charge, i will be happy to help a fellow G-Pak owner out :)

cheers, Mark :spoton:

Mark, that would be awesome! :-) Did you do them up yourself?

I'll send you a PM with an address, and of course I'll have to get my G-Pak up here now...

My stripes are still original and appear to be paint.

Cheers,
Jason.

Only a suggestion, but perhaps you lads could organise a stencil to get copied at Graffix Unlimited to ensure the stencil becomes available to all of those G pak restores out there. I think once we see some more high quality cars there will be more interest in preserving whats left.

I'd go as far as saying g-paks are my favorite of the box toranas. I just love the bold colours and paint styling
