why would metallic chip easy? its the same paint dude its no different when it comes to chipping. go for a pearl or metallic blue, solid blues look like its had a cheap crap paint job. solid blues look cheap and nasty, they look like cheap industrial colours. up to you, you have to look at it everyday.

Here's a couple of my UC... going by the numbers, I believe it's called "Nocturn Blue".
I'm led to believe it's an early Commodore color (?)

Kudu, that wasnt built somewhere between 1979 and 1990, was it?

Looks pretty bloody 80's to me! What was the go with the full grille? Looks pretty interesting. Ugly, but interesting.

Back on Topic -

That UC Hatch with V6 is Ford Blueprint, AFAIK.

And whats bloody wrong with the 80's?????

And she is not ugly, she was a work of art.......besides there is an old saying.."F**k the show, make it go." Well I poured most of my money into the 383 sbc and boy did it go!!! the body was like that when I got it and I grew to love it.

Well, I never actually had a chance to experience any of the 80's. But from what I've seen of the era, ugly cars were all the rage...

My flame suit is well and truly on now.

80's cars ugly??? Oh well different opinions I suppose. Personally I like VK Brock commodores and the VL walky.

The main reason i liked the no bumper/full grill look was no one else had it. I liked to be different from the rest. The big grill looked mean when you saw it in your rear view mirror, which was only for a second.

That was the rage back them, all the tough looking Torries were like that.

Yes i'm that old

The only difference was they had to have bumpers, so everyone cut the centre out of the bumper and welded in the ends, wasnt a bad look?

Found this pic in 10/86 Australian Street Rodding

Genesis is the colour.
Mica is added to the paint, gives it a bit of sparkle in the sunlight
