I took the SLR to Toms Mufflers on the Stuart Hwy (Darwin) today and can actually say they did what i wanted, and did a good job.
I got them to fit 2 1/2 dual system.
I got them fit 2 bolt flanges after the tranny so i can go racing without cooking the turbo 400.
They fitted my x pipe i purchased from evil bay.
They supplied and fitted 2x offset in, center out Supercat straight through mufflers with 2 bolt flanges at the back of them.
They fitted my old tail(dump) pipes.
All good welds, no leaks, no nasty bends and the pipes clear the tranny really well like i asked them to.
The sound is quiet and tuned.

I just had a single 2.5 fitted in mine from the extractors as the one i bought didnt fit :( Apparently he was meant to tell me he had a 9inch in his car They actually had a bit of trouble fitting it, it still hits the floorpan when i go over sometimes even small bumps.
Cheers

Sounds great, though i did have to bolt in some quieter mufflers to pass my engineers certificate.
Here's some snapshots

Rhys.

I love the sound of my new exhaust so no matter what I have to do when engineered I will be putting it back the way it sounds now
Good work mate.

Also putting in a TCI shift kit into the box, so will take photos 4 all to c.
lxsl76, what mufflers do you have?
I found that going from a twin 2 1/4 straight through redback system to my current system, it is actually not as noisy as it used to be. Hard to belive, but true.

Good one CHOPPERAre you leaking a bit of auto trans fluid? Looks like it might be coming from where the pan used to be.
Thanks to my little brother, the t400 now shifts quicker and firmer with a TCI trans scat kit.
One thing i hated about the t400 is it dont shift to 1st gear when you want it too, it only shifts down to first when your crawling. Now, you select 1st, it goes into 1st, be warned!
I got quoted $350 to install the kit by a local tranny guy. Now that must be $150 per hour and $40 for the oil. Go figure. Rip off.
I can't do autos cause im alergic to ATF.
Part number for the kit is TCI-400000 $119.95 from VPW.
My kiddo is ok now.
