Hi there all i thought some one may remember this torry

It.s a HB drag car that belonged to a good friend he built it and raced it
In the late 70s through an till mid 80s this shot was taken at adelaide international
Raceway 1980s Posted Image

It was powered by a 265 hemi E38 motor+3speed manual .9inch He replased the webers with
2inch S.Us jeted + kited for alcohol and its 1/4mile times were low11s untill the full chassi went under it then its times droped to mid to low 10s

i remember seeing it for sale for about 8k i think in about 1999. was possibly painted differently and v8 equipped.

Agree, that's the best ( and toughest ) looking HB I have ever seen.

Widow Maker - that term is a true 70's icon.

must have been nsw cause i seen it in the trading post. my little bro wanted to buy it till i told him that those guards were "so 1970" lol.
it looked very trashed and i laughed at it!

i also seen it at calder nationals not long after that.

A family friend of mine recently completed a HB, he bought it from a guy in melbourne, apparently the guy in melbourne used to race it in the eighties with a 350 chev in it and was quite successful.

Anyway he has just painted it hot house green and slide in another 350, glide, nine inch, tubbed, bars etc, its for sale on parramatta road now!

Hes a perfectionist, so if you know anyone that is after a smick race HB, let me know and i will giude you in his direction.
