What do you think about this distributor - could it be an L34 one? Probably a silly question but I thought its worth a try.

I know it should have an alloy tag with "Modified by Repco etc" on it which it doesnt but it looks as though it has had a tag on it previously, fixed by two screws that are there and the tag would have been over the hole in the side in the photos.

Hopefully I've managed to post some pictures below :spoton:

Sorry, its not an L34 dissy.

The L34 distributors have a different casing, its an early case that is tapered at the sides.

The Holden/Bosch part No starts with 280*****

This dissy is a later model that was built by a Distributor specialist in Melbourne.

I will PM you with more info about the dissy & what case No's, shaft No's & the plate No.

It's not L34 as already said. the hole in the side with the 2 screws is where the vacumn advance should be

The hole where the vac advance sits appears to have been milled off in the same manner as the originals.

The plate that covers it is a small alloy plate that has "MODIFIED BY REPCO" & a part No above it, 9937286.

It screws into the same holes as the original vac advance.

The casing No starts with 280***** from memory.

Thanks to everyone that has given their info - I have to say this is a great forum! I used to have a GT falcon and there was a GT forum I went on that spent most of the time arguing about things and general whinging rather than helping people out
