Thanks,Mello.
Unfortunately,it doesn't help.
When I move my pointer over the picture, nothing drops down
Above my pics(each individual pic) it reads

click to add title
edit move share delete

pic here

email and IM

Direct link

HTML code

IMG code
Next to each of the 4 headings above contains a box,and none of them open.

Help me please. It must be something real simple that I just dont know about. We had commodore vic20s at school.

Hi Craig, that's almost there , if the IMG is above the picture , left click on the IMG text, then right click on the blue highlighted text, then go to your thread and right click and paste, the n you should have text in the thread , then once posted, browser will read the text and find the pic for the reader

Helpful Dave

Just remember people

If you attach a pic as per above... you can not remove it from the forum

If you add it via the photobucket method then all you need to do to remove it is remove the pic from your own photobucket

Hi Dave,

Firstly, well done and what a Great Torana you have.

I have noticed that GMH-TORANA  re-sized your picture to 746pixels ((Wide)W)  x  664pixels ((High)H)  from your natural picture size of  1347pixels (W)  x  1200pixels (H)  at  152.09kB (( digital picture information)Di)

( correct me if I am wrong, still learning too )

For those that need a bit more info:-

All good as long as your picture and post total digital information size is below 1000kB.

for example if your picture (Di) was 800kB, then you would only get one picture in the post ( if all your pictures were that (Di) size ), but if you reduced all your picture/s (Di) to say 100kB, you could effectively get 8 pictures into your post.

When you get to re-size your Pictures with either of the Programs mentioned in the Link ^ up there,

you will first see the size of your picture in Pixels and kB.

A 500 pixel wide picture is the same size as the attached pictures I had posted ^ up there which I typed 500 in the width box in the re-sizing program used ( that is all I typed and entered ), the kB size is automatically made 5 times smaller for you although you can make the kB much smaller which will then start to alter the picture quality.

Anyhow, practice makes perfect and re-name all your re-sizing's with a 1,2,3 etc at the end of your picture name to keep them all together in your picture folder/s. Dave I

p.s. you can also Crop your picture which will also reduce the (Di) and Pixel size.

This is a 'CROP' Example from the Original Photo to the Cropped one:-

Attached File  Tory at Manly 003.jpg   195.63K   1 downloads

640 pixels (W)  x  468 pixels (H) at 195kB (Di)

now looks like this:-

Attached File  Tory at Manly 003b.jpg   125.32K   0 downloads

640 pixels  x  282 pixels at 125kB

(note the pixel and kB (Di) sizes change just in cropping)

now a reduced picture pixel change:-

Attached File  Tory at Manly 004.jpg   88.15K   0 downloads

500 pixels  x  221 pixel at 88.1kB

(now all I changed was the width (W) pixel to 500 and the rest was done automatically)

and one more:-

Attached File  Tory at Manly 005.jpg   49.92K   1 downloads

300 pixels  x  132 pixels at 49.9kB

(all that was changed was the (W) to 300)

All these pictures add up too:-

195kB + 125kB + 88.1kB + 49.9kB = 458kB's and still room for more pictures in one Post. Dave I

p.s. note the Image quality diminish from the original when you zoom in.

p.p.s. higher quality Photo's use more (Di) so there are some differences there as well

p.p.p.s. when you hover your mouse over any picture,  information of that picture appears

gday fellas, if by any chance any of you are using a smartphone of some kind heres how i do it. download the app "image resizer" and "photobucket". take photos or screenshots or even images that are already in your gallery that you want to post. open up image resizer, select the image to resize, click 800x600 (SVGA SIZE) then hit save. now open photobucket, hit upload, select the image you just resized, click the share logo (3 dots joined) hit copy link to clipboard, then you will be given 4 options. you want the bottom one (image link). click that. it will say "copied" then jump on here start a new message, double click in the box, hit paste. done. sounds like alot but it really isnt. hope this helps some of you out there wondering how to do it strait from your phone. cheers

wayno
