I'm looking for pics of lowered LC/J's.

If you've got one, can you chuck a pic up with details of your spring/shock combo? Just trying to work out whether or not I want to lower my LJ...

Ask Heath if he has a pic of the blue sports sedan that was at Sandown last Sunday.
He set the gap between the tyres and the guards with a feeler guage

Here's my LJ as she sat at Toranafest last year. She runs lowered Pedders springs (1-2" not exactly sure but very firm ride) with unknown shocks (possibly stock or thereabouts). I have some Ultima shocks that I won on ebay last nite that will go on end of this week/next week.
It rides very firm and was setup by the prvious owners old man who used to race Toranas. It almost never scrubs the tyres and exhaust rarely scrapes on speed humps. I chuck it into corners and it just grips the road like shit to a blanket

This is before being lowered (sagged front springs, peddars rear springs)

Posted Image

This is after (King Springs 1" lower all round)

Posted Image

I have slight problems with scrapping over the really tall speed humps, on the exhaust and sway bar (where the bump is for the extractors).

Did you do much driving in that, Ken? How'd you go with clearance on driveways etc?

mines got lowered springs in it, cant tell you by how much, and im sure rims seen photos of it somewhere, they would be 1"-1.5" at the most, and as others have stated, the sway bar gets flattened off on large speedhumps, rear wheels scrubbed a bit, but roled gaurd will fix that this week.

the car had extractors which went under the crossmember straight behind instead of through middle section and up so clamp would hit occasionally so I raised the back with other springs and no great problems, the back is very low as per the eyebrow clearance over tyre. the guy I bought it from had much bigger wheels/tyres the back guard lips have been cut off

hey, have any of you guys had issues with hitting the lower bumper stopper.

i've just put in pedders sports ryder springs and shockies and its about 1mm off sitting on it.

are you supposed to just cut them down. or are there shorter ones. or jack the car back up a little bit???
