After purchasing a nice, rust free LC sedan roller for the missus on the weekend we're after some ideas :D She has been wanting a Torana for a long time now after driving my LC, and while she was in Japan I took the liberty of picking one up for her :spoton: You should have seen the look on her face when I pulled the car cover off it at my mate's workshop upon her return!

So last night we got to plotting and I recalled an awesome genmetal grey LC with a triple webber-fed six and big billet rims that was doing the rounds a few years back. I can't remember the plates but I definately saw it at Summernats and I think it was featured in a mag somewhere. I'm pretty sure it had black GTR stripes and silver interior, but I remember drooling over it and thinking what an amazing car it was.

Does anyone have pics of the car, or any other cool/tough LC 4-doors for that matter? I know exactly how I would build it if it were my car, but at the end of the day it's her call, so I thought I'd get together some pics to give her some inspiration. Thanks!

Cheers,
Andrew

Chris' LJ, dags350's LJ, DJ's LJ, all beautiful 4 doors.

Can't think of any LC's though...

There used to be a nice 4 door LC in the HTC here in Adelaide a few years ago. I loved it so much that i bought it.. but I'm finishing some final restorations so it hasn't seen the road for too long.

I'll see if i can dig up photos of the car when I bought it. Unless you want pics of it stripped down!

Wow, that is sexy.

Gunmetal grey looks sweet against polished alloy/chrome...

sorry mate cant find any pics at the moment, moved house and everything is in a box. they will turn up. thought the car was a bit ahead of its time. not the greatest fan of the interior, bit space age for me, but you build a car you want not what others want. it was a south australia car and seen at glenelg cruising once.

I'll check my files at home for you tomorrow (at work now). I did take some pics of it at a car show in Adelaide and saw it on a few SMASA cruises. Nice car altou the interior wasn't my taste but I could admire the work done.

Yeah the trim was a bit wild. Certainly agree about it being before its time- big diameter billets with heaps of dish on the rear- all the kids are doing it now but it was cutting edge back then, hate to think what those rims cost him back in the day!!

Any more pics of this and other LC sedans?

Cheers,
Andrew

I've got another pic or two of that "Ballbreaker" thing. Also WYLDLC from the Vic Torana Club is pretty schmick looking, I'll post a photo of that up as well (after school or something)

If you can find the thread about WILDLC from when it was on eBay, I think I remember someone said they worked on the car or knew the person who built it or something. You might want to dig up that thread and contact that person. I can't remember who it was or what exactly they said...

Andrew, if i go to japan, can you buy me a new LJ for a daily driver, thanks heaps. Some of those LC's are hot, the pic you posted though mate looks exactly like a 4dr LC my brother painted in a mates garage, but that has alot more shine, and the obvious wheel mod lol, still gotta love gunmetal grey lc's.

Me?, well, i have been working alot, and the torrie is still untouched. I dont want to touch her without funds, but we'll see soon, been having to fix my daily up, so thats eaten funds over past 14 months. Anyone here interested in tackling an a pillar replacement for me, lol, could use some lessons in welding, and stuff.
