its been awhile since ive last updated my torana project,
for those of you who dont know the spec's of my car
- rebuilt 350 chev
- shiftkitted th400 gearbox
- ford 9inch Lsd center

well last night i took the car out for a bit of fun and ended up f*cking some of the bottom end bearings i think its making a loud knocking sound and it bent a push rod so it's time to build anew engine for it,
i am thinking a nice warm 350 or going all out and building a worked 383 stroker
so i guess ill keep this thread updated as the build continues.....

Hey sarsha! It's been a while since i've heard from ya! The car still looks tops! Are you going all-new with the new motor or are you gonna get a rebuilder and do it right up? This beast will haul!

Hey Sarsha, your car's looking good. Sorry to hear about your motor. I bent a couple of pushrods on my old 330. This time round I've made a pact to not drive it until it's got a rev limiter, you should probably do the same. It's way too easy to over rev a tough motor.

I think its more to do with the operator than the engines themselves ;)

Well put, BOTTLEDUP.

Yeh it's very easy to sit back seat drive mate, things sound so and simple easy on paper and in theory... Atleast these guys are actually out there enjoying their cars and learning from trial and error. Get your license, build a car, drive around like a tight ass for 10 years then start preaching about what not to do..

What sort of carby are you running there? looks like a double pumper but i dont know much about them... only reason i ask is if you go all out with a 383 i wanted to know if carby would require replacing aswell?

anyways its a f*cking sweet looking hatch, well so is the 4 door UC there... I wish i could afford one. Nice job :)

update!!!!!!!!!!!

well after pulling the engine down and inspecting it we found the problem,
blown head gaskets, a stuffed valve an rocker, so we deicded to hold off on building the new engine for the moment coz of the $$ factor an just fixed the problems and got it back on the rd and running again coz its my only transport to get to work.

sorry the pics r pretty bad they were taken with my phone and its nighttime
