Hi Everyone here are the pics from Pittsworth Sprints. Sorry about the quality as some of them are a bit out of focus.

Pittsworth is a three day event, We were there for Saturday and Sunday morning only. They do a street parade through the main street of town at 0830 saturday morning and then head up to the industrial estate for the racing to begin around 1030 through to 4pm. After that they have a burnout comp from 430 to 600pm. Racing resumes at 830am on sunday.

The track is just over a km I think with 3 left hand turns a chicaine and finally a left hand turn over the finish line. Most off the corners appear to change chamber half way through so there is plenty of lost traction and sideways action.

fastest things out there were a gtr skyline, a datto 1600 and a 2007 GT3 Porshe all running very low 40.06 second times. Most others were running around the 43 second mark. And if you are wondering about the mightyboy it has a 3.5 litre supercharged v8 in it.

One major incident we witnessed was a skyline came out of turn 3 to hot sliding sideways into a tyre wall. He did a lot of damage to the car, it could be a write off.

Other minor incidents were an LX cripled a rear wheel while hitting the left gutter and on the very next pass a LJ GTR hit the right hand gutter on the same turn afterloping it.

No pictures of our car as I took it out last sunday morning to get the newspaper and three hours latter came home on a tow truck. Nothing major just the electronic dizzy decided to poo its pants on me.

yeah I thought it was Darryns car also, but it didnt look like him driving it and if it is his he has changed the plates since I last saw it. Although it did have a GTR XU-1 owners club sticker in the back window, so maybe it was him.

Its Errol's car I belive.

He is also a memeber of the QLD GTR & XU1 owners club and lives up that way.

"Patina Gold" is the colour from memory.

Cheers

Gotta love digital zoom :tease:

Great shots in general though. Heaps of awesome, unique looking cars.
Any details on that mightyboy? Looks like it's been tinkered with a little bit :P

And that HG wagon with welded up doors is something you don't see every day. Awesome

yeah, I had to think about that one for a few seconds! I'd love to see it on an EH wagon. I always wanted an EH van.. but prefered the look of the wagon. Best of both worlds perhaps?

Adam Le Brese did it to his EH wagon smeer. I would love to do it to my EH Wagon but I would hate people to think I was copying Adam.
