September 1975 saw the sale of the Plus 4 Limited Offer! This package was introduced to provide sales interest in the four-cylinder range. Its release was nearing the runout of the LH range. The Plus 4 was based on the standard four cylinder 'S' with the Opel 1900 engine, and had power front disc brakes.

Interiors were black and fully carpeted with the single body colour (skunk) stripe down the centre of the bucket seats. Exterior rear vision mirror was GTS/SLR aerodynamic type. There was no tacho, but you did get a clock thrown in!

Plus 4 had the same body colours as the G-Pak (Jamaican green, Absinth Yellow and Mandarin Red), but with black accents only. Accents included black painted bumpers (with rubber strip). The bumpers were painted black to match the wide side striping.

It was identified by large 'Plus 4' decals on the rear guards and rear panel and 'Torana' decals on the front apron and rear panel. Grill was blacked out and LX style round headlights were supplied as also used in the L34 option available on the SLR5000 model.

As for the wheel trims, G-Pak and Plus 4 both had the same trims as the SL/R and SL hatchback Toranas, except Plus 4 trims were colour-coded to match the body colour.

The cars appearance was considered yukky by many at the time and the motor branded gutless. This lack of warmth has lead to it being almost impossible to find surviving models.
Please post any pics or share any additional info at will.

I dont know for sure but didnt the plus 4 have same style seats to the HJ GTS monaro with the red strip thru the center on the seats...

Iv seen a few Plus 4's in my time but never with black bars, i can understand why tho as thats the first thing i would change if i owned 1..

Hi Guys.

The LH Torana Plus 4 had accent stripes on the seats to match the colour of the car. i.e. Red car/ Red stripe, Green car/ Green stripe. I'm currently wrecking an Absinth Yellow car & it has yellow striped seats.

They had black-outs around the side windows & black door handles. They also had black wiper arms & blades, the 1st Holden to have this feature I think. They beat the LX & HX by more than a year.

Maybe all the owners got heckled to death. I vaguely remember seeing one once in bad condition, but maybe it was just the black bumpers that gave it that appearance. I'd have a UC over one of these.

I thought i was right about the seats.. I would prefer a Plus 4 over a UC, just change the bars to chrome or color coded...

Theres a white SLR5000 look alike in bendigo with big fat hotwires on and full flare kit. Tha car looks the goods and was a Plus 4 befor its make over...I bought my G Pack of him....

Might have to try track down a G-Pak with 6 k's on the clock for Street Machine to run a competition with Toranavista? ---> similar to A9X Giveaway.

I learnt of a plus 4 owned locally over the weekend. Absinth with the Yellow colour coded SLR hupcaps and the yellow skunk stripes in the seats. They still exist :D

Have you got any pics of the Absinth one?

Is this the only one we know of?

I used to see a lot of these running around, along with the GPACKS. A mate of mine had one in the early 90's but he painted it white and put a six in it, it still had all the trim in it though.

I think that is the first picture I've seen of a Plus 4.

I don't remember ever seeing one in the flesh.
