Back and top section??? The radiator support panel is predominantly flat. A pic below, it is that front most piece.

Depends how you look at it Red. $328 on a $100,000 plus investment is nothing. For me on the other hand $328 on a $2,000 investment ouch! Not sure which client Rares is aiming at (same with some of their other prices). Good on them for making it though!

it just looks like the outter boxed section to me, not the inner flat section that also rusts out as well. bit steep im my opinion... i reckon most people could knock one up themselves with a little bit of planning. i was lucky as i had a wreck that had a solid radiator support.

props to them though for making it as im sure many will purchase it.

cheers

+3.

Fair enough the nose cone covers it, but if it's rusty, & you hit something.....

$328 for 3 pieces of pressed mild steel! [shaking the head]

Thats a good point, but then if I was paying that much money, it would want to be perfect, as in identical to the original piece. I believe it's too much however you look at it though for that item.

Hey guys I have just seen one on ebay from sparescity , they inform me that it is the whole doubleskinned section that the radiator sits on , so I hope that means you could cut the box type section out and weld this one in , hoping it is a good match of course, their price $295 . currently restoring 1 of my lx slr5000's so it's probably not a bad investment. cheers

HEY GUY'S FOR EVERYONES INFO, I JUST GOT THIS PANEL ($291) AND YEH TYPICAL OF RARESPARES PANEL'S IT IS NOT A GOOD FIT , AS MOST OF YOU ARE PROBABLY AWARE IT IS THE FULL BOX TYPE SECTION ie back & front . BUT ACROSS THE TOP OF THE ORIGINAL SECTION IT TAPERS DOWN ABOUT 10 - 12 MM FROM EACH END , WHERE THE BONNET CATCH MOUNTING BRACE IS BOLTED TOAND ALSO THE THE TOP LIP OF THELOWER SECTION OF THE NOSE CONE BOLTS TO AND THE NEW SECTION IS DEAD FLAT ALL THE WAY ACROSS. WHICH IN TURN DOES NOT ALLOW FOR CORRECT MOUNTING OF THE BOLT ON SECTION'S , SO NOW I WILL HAVE TO HAVE IT MODIFIED . SO YEH SUMMING IT ALL UP I WOULD'NT BOTHER WITH BUYING ONE YOU WOULD BE JUST BETTER OF GETTING SOMEONE WHO IS GOOD WITH SHEETMETAL TO BEND IT UP "PROPERLY" IN THE FIRST PLACE . HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS SOMEONE BEFORE THEY OUTLAY THE COIN LIKE I DID TRUSTING THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE A GOOD FIT CHEERS BRUTASS.

Hatcheddan let me know when you have the radiator support pannel sorted, I'm interested. Do you still have any of those rear pillars left?

Disapointing that Rares are charging top dollar and it's a poor fit and not the same shape as the original.

Hey guy's , been a while but have finally got back to sorting out fitment of this panel and as I thought there was more dramas , some more seriuos mod's needed , so please take it from me don't bother with forking out the coin and buying an over priced rare spare's panel THAT DONT FIT , cheers . Hopefully hatcheddan has some success with these , I would much rather give him some coin.

I need one of those right now, I'll take one too.

But what i cant understand is why they dont make a an LH LX replacement panel for the battery shelf that rusts away.
They make one for the UC but its not the same.

Does Rares know that the support panel doesn't fit?

I have'nt actually told them about this , but my guess is that they probably would'nt be that interested they have already got my money , I'm just ensuring people from this website dont come across the same problems , which they will if they purchase one , as said if someone from here can make a more accurate copy lets give them the money , cheers Brutass.

Les @ RSP would be interested in getting the parts correct.
