Anything bright and solid unless you really know how to paint, in which case consider metallic. Look at new cars being released with certain colours and find out what they're called or look into old, classic colours of Toranas and the like.

Metallics aren't hard to paint at all. So if you see one you really like, dont hesitate form trying it yourself.

I have painted 3 cars myself, and all have been metallic/pearl. And all came up great!

I would say, paint it something BRIGHT! Yellows, Oranges, Greens, Blues, Reds, Purples etc etc! But A Torana looks SHIT HOT when painted up bright!

If you paint a metallic it is very hard to match if repairs are needed, go a solid colour if its a daily or your first car.

I like Candy Apple Green, or even the Holden Green used on the VX on.

I will have a go at metallic, if it all f*cks up i will just have to start again ay? lol.

Thats a nice green but a little too much blue in it, more gold is wat it needs.

Yeah that car is mint and in my photos of it the colour looks even better IMO

If you screw up the metallic you just block it back and respray again. Not that big a deal, but if you're not good, your metallic will really look like it was sprayed by a n00b.

Pretty Hard to f*ck up metallic really... Modern Paint matching is great these days and you can touch up panels without noticing a thing... So don't let that deter your colour choice...

Find your favourite colour and paint that! There are awesome solid colours and pearl/metallic colours...

If green is your thing, I painted my LX torana supermint Green (original colour) with the usual black bonnet etc and it has come up better than expected and I really like it. Its different to everyone elses. With modern paints it has given the orginal colour some depth.
cheers
Mark
