Can someone please help me?
I have the 3 tags on my LC GTR but want to confirm if all the numbers match.
Tag on driver side behind brake booster.
4,5A,7,20
LC Torana Sedan 2 Door
LC17577A (this number matches the number stamped on the inside of the left hand side of the engine bay.)
Build date 8/70
Long Thin Plate
82911CL15647C
Body Identification Plate
Model LC82911
Body No 2590Z (hard to read as plate was damaged in an accident)
Trim 1806-40V
Paint 567-12188

Please confirm the 13 character VIN - as it shouldn't end in an alphabetical character.

hi nicknkaz,the 'c' is probably a '0' so vin no 82911L156470 is a Adelaide built lc gtr production date 17/7/70,sold 8/70 to dealer no 815 , paint is lakeside green met ,trim black.the adr plate next to the wiper motor will have the last 4 no's of the vin plate scratched on the back ,this was done in the Adelaide plant only,this will confirm if those 2 plates match,if you still have/find some factory paint even better.unfortunately no engine no is recorded.cheers daz

I had anticipated that L156470 may be your car - but decided to confirm the VIN first. The main issue is the fact that you say it is a 8/70 car whereas the VIN disk has it as a 7/70 car.

the vin disc is unfortunately full of errors,but is all we have to go on,anyway dealer 815 is mellville mtrs WA.daz

^^ no, but as daz said you can confirm the two tags match... though it would mean removing the adr tag..
