Cut the outer away

Shaped and cut in around 20mm

Tacked welded the starting edge and kept shaping the inner with a hammer and dolly

Finished off all the weldeing

Give it a very quick grind down , will finish off and dress later

Yes it would. I just have to remember one day when it is out of bed.
Just thinking (dangerous I know), but it will be interesting to see if they cut and tuck, or if they have just made up a new bit of sheet metal to weld in. I don't know, but will be interesting to see, just in case, heaven forbid, I ever have to make a new Yella.
EDIT2: God I'll get it eventually. The way you have tackled it doesn't look too bad. How did you check to make sure it didn't suck in the outer panel? Bout the only risk I can see.

Yella, Outer didnt suck in at all , i kept rotating were i was welding . diferent tack spot each time , not 1 big long line
