I.D. this drop tank??

I need some help here on identifying this drop tank and wether it'll fit my LX hatch.
I called into my local Aluminium fabricator enquiring about manufacturing a drop tank as they aren't as
easy to get over here in NZ, and he said he could do a new one for about a grand, or if this one works
I can have it for a lot less as it was made but not collected a long time ago. He couldn't remember if it was
for a Torana or an HQ.
The length left to right dimension at the back of the tank is 930mm, front 640mm, width front to back 530mm
(340mm before it angles in toward the front) - any other dimensions necessary let me know - these dimensions
differ from the drop tank thread posted here.
The guy let me take it home to try it, but I measured between the chassis rails at about 1125mm, so this tank
have to be either bolted to the floor pan (which I don't thinks is a good idea), or it gets strapped.
the bottom outlet pipe seems to be about 1 1/4 inch and the top breather pipe is about an inch. These seem way
to big, but the guy said he can adapt whatever is needed to make it work for me.
I just wanna know if this can work for me, or am I better to get something made properly for my hatch.
Cheers guys

so I guess it would fit between the chassis rail easily and to the u/side of the floor, then get strapped where the original fuel tank
mounting points are? Correct??
I'd have to block off that fuel outlet pipe I'd imagine (can't understand what its for?) and the vent pipe, then get smaller pipes
welded in as per the drawing shown, for the breathers and charcoal cannister.

I'll be running an injected 5L out of a clubsport, so what else would need to be done to the tank (if any?)
Cheers

Roll over and return pipe I would guess.

You'll find the big hole takes a fuel pick up/fuel float gauge unit.
cheers Yella. Do you think I need this for what I intend on running? I'll be the first one
to say I no nothing when it comes to fuel systems and what is required - and I know
I'll be on a STEEP learning curve thru this whole project!!

The larger two pipes pictured could be blocked off, but the top one should really be used as a breather.
This tank is designed to be bolted direct to the rear rails without straps, thats why it has the 2 brackets at the top, they appear to have not been drilled to suit yet. I think you'll have fun fitting it myself with that filler neck unless it's spot on.

That looks like it will bolt throught the floor.
If it was to bolt through the rails the tabs on the side should be stepped down the side of the tank.
Other wise there would be a great big gap between the tank and the floor.

extra fuel outlet at the bottom. Due the narrowness(??) of the tank it will fit between the rails - I thought
I'd need to use straps. I might call into another outfit and check the cost of making one up based
on the specs given by Yella SLuR (much appreciated!)
cheers again.

he said here in NZ you can't make alloy drop tanks anymore, so it needs to be outta stainless. They
can do one for around $800 which is good, and they'll set it up exactly to what I need re: injection, and
they include the stainless straps and rubber strips. This is probably the best solution I think.
He can do a dummy tank for about a third of that price, but he said the problem there is all the crap
that'll get caught up in it over time.
