I'd still go a light coloured cloth herringbone if you can't get chevron. Personally, cloth inserts look miles better but the choice is yours. I imagine cloth wears out quicker and is harder to keep clean so vinyl may be better if it's getting a lot of use.

The extracts from Torana Tough I have posted are for LH 8VD69 trim. Copy that and your sweet. No guess work involved.

So it had the black/grey herringbone? Which ones had the houndstooth?

Vinyl inserts just wouldn't look right in an SL/R or 5000.

Call me colourblind but I can't see much difference between the two. I guess I'd have to compare them in person rather than through a laptop screen.

From the pic posted, the door fabric Elascofab Sadlon insert #319 is Dk Doeskin 251.  I imagine Dk = dark?

It says the car had the B&W 79 herringbone insert; early 74 cars had Version 1 herringbone.

Black carpet. Doeskin sun visors and hand grips.

I'm not sure how correct that is, black armrests on the doors; it seems unusual to match that with dk doeskin door card inserts. It doesn't say what colour the door cards are.

Well spotted

Yep, it just didn't seem right to me. Cheers.

Just goes to show you can't trust even the best sources 100%.  This page doesn't have 63X but lists  63V as Doeskin Black Vinyl but that really doesn't make sense. Doeskin seats with black dash/carpet and vinyl seat insert?

Found a pic of doeskin with B&W herringbone for GTS Monaro; definitely looks a damn sight better than that photoshopped pic. lol

You could try give these guys a call and see if they can do the same for LH Torana seats.

Just curious, does your car have any of the original interior or did they gut it right out?

Not surprising, many ditched their seats to put in black ones. Many stolen SL/R's had their black interiors stripped out and sold to wreckers, a big ticket item for thieves back in the day.

no door trims

no armrest

no sunvisors

no grab handles

Did they at least leave the doeskin hoodlining?

I don't think so. I have B&W herringbone with my black interior and grey golfball on the door inserts. The seat inserts aren't meant to match the door card inserts on SL/R's.

I believe only the fashion packs had cloth door card inserts.

Here's a pic of an A9X with fashion pack. It would have golfball inserts on the door cards, (surrounding window winder).

Since you'll have dark doeskin inserts with doeskin cards; it should look good with the two tones and I suspect three tones with black carpet pockets

I'm assuming your's would have black carpet trim for the door pockets if it has black carpets, anyone?
