Hi... I'm trying to find out the exact differences between a standard LH/LX floorpan and the A9X floorpan?
I already know that the UC rear floorpan was apparently used to enable fitment of the disc brake salisbury, but can anyone tell me how far forward the UC floorpan extended? The reason I am asking this is because I've read somewhere that A9X front seats were higher than normal due to the use of the UC floorpan? Is this also correct?
Thanks for any info.

The floorpan mod to fit the A9X Salisbury was only to the upper control arm mounting points, this mod carried over to the UC when it commenced production.

Thanks to everyone who has provided info so far... but I might try and push my luck a little further and ask the question.. was the spare wheel space in an A9X in the middle of the boot floor (like an LH/LX) or was it located off to the left side like a UC?
I'll try and find where I read that the A9X front seats were mounted higher than standard LH/LX's?

No, I don't have an A9X, though I'm interested in building a replica Group C A9X four door for competition use only.
At this stage I'm just trying to do some research into the rear floor differences... I'm hoping on using a modified Borg Warner instead of a Salisbury diff so it probably doesn't make any difference anyway?
It's just that I've found an excellent rust free rolling UC shell for my LX project so just thought I'd better start researching.
Thanks
Jason

Have a look at this thread for details of fitting an A9X diff to an LX body. The upper arm mounts are the only change required.

I have read that many race shells were modified to accept the A9X diff using a patch available from Holden. I do not know if this is actually true or not but I did see a patch for sale on eBay once.

The patch is genuine...the pics above are from the sale.....If you run the B/W doubt you need to change the floor pan though.

With a Commy diff you can put the Torana brackets back on wherever they need to go, everything bolts up again.
