From the side it looks like a Hatch but the front and rear is definitely Chev (front looks like an early 70's Camaro).

That's not bad mate, needs the full bumper though.

I got a red one.....
Just discovered it's dang hard to get a picture through the plastic
I think the matchbox itself looks closer to correct than the pic on the box. Certainly out of the 150 + (at last count) of them in our house this one is the best and will be living in the display case with the models not in the toy box

I'm going to sample test a 1:18 scale electric Belt driven carbon fiber/cnc alloy road racing RC car chassis. See pic. They come ready to run out of the box including brushless motors, adjustable lsd ball diffs. They go about 60kph out of the box. I tested a buggy/truggy shaft drive version with the same speed controller and motor anout a year ago. Upgraded the battery to lipo 7.4v and it went a lot faster. I then tested the electrics limits with a 11.1 v lipo battery and it easily did 80kph, didn't even get to hold full throttle - Had to be very smooth with the acceleration as it would pop wheelies and break traction real easy, even with the 7.4 lipo.
The 11.1 v lipo eventually blew the speed controller after a few runs(it was only 18amp from memory)
Presently there are 350z, wrx , mazda 6 bodies available - and I'll be sourcing them with 2.4ghz LCD and LED pistol grip radios.
So I'm looking for someone In melbourne that doesn't mind there 1:18 shell to used to make a mould from.
They won't be axact replicas as Poly carb bodies can only be made a certain way - Resin/plastic bodies could be easily fitted to one of the chassis for a more scale appearance. Haven't seen any 1:18 plastic kits though.
Could possibly make shells for any 1:18 car, monaro falcon etc..

Anyone here have a 1:18 Hatch ,Sedan and even lc lj I could use to make a RC car body mould from. Preferably one that has a bit of damage with missing side mirrors. Will make it easier to make the pattern from.

Do you have access to a 3D scanner? I have some 1/18th models here.
Yes, I know it's a 14 year old response time. Similar to ambo response.
