Well often people find 2dr 4cyl baby Toranas and weld a 4dr 6cyl front on them, that's the closest I've seen. But I don't see why it couldn't be done - a lot of vehicles get that kinda conversion; just never seen it on a Torana.

surely be easier to just buy a 2 door ?? or you could just weld the back doors up !

I know a bloke who is currently doing a 2 door KE70 corolla conversion.

Its actually not as daunting as it seems.

But it would definitely work out cheaper (in the toranas case) to buy a 2 door.

Just an idea.

I'd actually been thinking about this lately myself glad somebody else made a post on it! i was wondering how one would look with the rear doors welded up and filled? that would have the be the easiest method of doing one.

Don't forget that 2 Door and 4 door doors are different sizes sizes, so if you're going to weld up and smooth out a 4 door it won't look right.

My biggest worry converting a 4 to a 2 door would be the B Pillars, otherwise it sounds relatively possible....

I think we'll see more of this as 2 dr shells become harder to find, ie more expensive.

.

That was the idea of making FX FJ's two doors ,the car and the pictures show , it's something different !!

Don't want sound pessimistic but I think you will have a problem with licensing with the ADR tag reading 4dr. Good on you if you are trying to make something different. But if you are trying to replicate a two door I am pretty sure the roof line is considerably different to a two door from a four door also the inner wheel arches and the inner 1/4 panels are different. You would be miles ahead to just pay the extra and get a two door if that's what you want. Good luck whichever way you go.

i downloaded a photo of a 2 door and a 4 door
printed them out
overlaid them over each other
no difference????

if i use a genuine 2 door, door
and rear 1/4 from a 2 door
why will it be different???
