Hi all,
Just wanting to check the position of the accelerator pedal in my LC. When I purchased the car it had an LJ pedal and it has also had a new floor pan so no original holes. The position of the pedal is as far forward as I can get it. It seems to still go through the wear pad. Don't know if this is where it should be? Any advice would be appreciated. Could anyone send a pic of where the pedal is sipposed to be located?
Thanks for any assistance/advice
Mat

Hi, I have been trying to insert a photo of the accelerator pedal, following dattoman's instructions to the tee, but I keep getting a text version of the file when I paste and no picture. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Cheers

LC's made after July 71 had the same acc pedal as the LJ. At this time the 161 was dropped and the 173 introduced.

I have an 8/71 Adelaide built LC with original floorpans. Pictures below, measurements are best I could get with a tape measure.
For what its worth it is fitted with a 173 but the LC style acc pedal so I am not sure if the above comment from finer70 is completely true.
Hope this helps? :spoton:

Thanks Steve. I really appreciate your help - especially since it would have taken a while to add the dimensions and labels. Will get busy today fitting it.
Cheers

Give Rare Spares a call. They make pedals for earlier holdens, hopefully they make LC ones by now.
