And its reasonably fun considering how slow it is haha. 55mph just aint fast enough!!!

I was talking to a guy with a turbo Honda jetski that does around 80 he reckons :blink2: I think even 55 in a boat would be ok, lol...

Hey mate
Have you had it out? playin with A LOT of boats, piss that heater hose off from the pick up's to the pump! There rubber impellor style pump is so it has really good suction- So good that it sucks the heater hose in! And fifteen minutes later its cookin then it destroy's the impellor becuase its run dry and then you have melted exhuast rubbers HAHA Common as!

Looks like fun thou! But i must admit rear mount V drive or better still Rear mount turbo 350 with first locked out and a LEG NOW THATS FUN!
Cheers
Ed

Thanks Ed, whats the best thing to use for the pickup lines?

Ok, long time no post, after a LOOONG time sitting dormant, since last december to be precise, i finally dug the bit of shit out of the shed today.

did a couple of little jobs i've been getting around to for a while, the first being take all the stuff off it, as it works a little bit to well as a 15ft work bench.

I fitted and wired up a new tacho that i've had sitting on the shelf since about January, and put a quick change vac sec lid on the carb so i can keep tuning the springs a bit quicker/easyer than without it, will pull it back off and put it in the holley tuning case when im finally happy.

Not a lot, but im going to drag it out to the water tomorow and go for a bit of a run, mostly to use up some of the 8 month old ultimate in it!!

Did have it on the charger for a couple of hours

Posted Image

And kick it in the guts, found a few more issues, like one of the plug leads had come off haha. Im really hating the Accell plug leads i got for it.

Anyway, some picks of it on the water tomorow

Heres the new tacho

I think it looks pretty pimp, and unlike the old one which has been rather wild since i put the electric dizzy in it seems to be fairly accurate.

And the secondary spring quick change cover, incase someonoe hasnt seen one!

Posted Image

Still a bit of a pleck to get to cause of the scoop, but way quicker than before.

Random

Found some picks in my photobucket that i seem to have forgotten to post to, from last time it was out

Alrighty back from a bit of a run, wasnt on the water to long, few more issues, Bring Over Another Thousand and all....

When i kicked her over yesterday i noticed a bit of stray spark around the dizzy, stupid cheap Accell leads i got, so i need to get some new ones. It seemed to be running fine at cruise (~3000rpm) and WOT (~4800rpm) but had a definite miss around the 2000rpm mark, i was guessing some sparks were jumping around, and considering boats have a tendency to build up fuel vapor under the cover i was a little bitt worried lol. New leads are on the cards....Even though the ones on there are more or less new.

I threw my handy dandy G tech pro SS on it for shits and giggles and did a couple of hp runs, the ciggy lighter attachment was playing up a bit cutting in and out so it only logged a few, first hp run i did it made a wopping 84hp lol. Best i got was 114hp.

Tried doing a few 1/4 mile runs with it, mainly looking for the 60ft, 330ft and 1/8th, but alas it cut out each time i tried and i got the shits.

As promised, pix.

And i introduced it to its new home, seeing though i had pulled all the junk from the area yesterday. Seems happy there, boat cover isnt here yet though.

Well, with friends like these who needs enemies.

Couple of work mates have all bar convinced me to throw the turbo gear off the grenade onto this for shits and giggles.

Look out for grenade mk2, nautical.

Need to sort out a few other small issues first and collect a few more parts....

Cheers.

Found this thread while i was looking for the KZ400 thread, thought i should update.

Took it out a few times since the last update/vid, broke it a couple of times, fixed it, broke it again, etc.....Its currently pulled apart getting a bit of a birthday, no picks at this point i've been to slack to take any, but reviving this may motivate me.

Realistically it needs the engine pulled out and rebuilt, im not really prepared to spend that kinda money on a dirty 308, but alas the driveline it has is not to bad, and its the cheapest option to keep me on the water, so it might happen yet.

Cheers.

Well, at this point it seems this is basically the end of the tail for Hustler.

I've had a lad bugging me for a while, so i dicked around for a bit this arv and got her running again, sent him a vid, and a fer more picks, and he's keen as mustard for a swap for his boat.

Introducing, for now, Six Appeal.

http://www.ebay.com....=p2047675.l2557

Ebay wont let me save the picks and re upload them, so that link will only work for a little while.

She's a 12 and a half foot everingham with a rear mount 202 and a V drive, as well as heaps of cool shit like foot adjustable cav plate and the like.

I will start a new thread when i have her, at this point i will be embarking on the 2400km round trip to drop Hustler off and pick Six Appeal up next weekend, just though i should close this thread. May put up some final picks of hustler when she's back together and ready for her voyage.

Cheers.
