ok simple question... what is needed to up date my square LH headlights to the round LX type. Is it a simple thing like just getting the round headlight holders, headlights and headlight surrounds then just bolt straight in or do you need to change the nose cone too?

Headlights, surrounds and holders, and you need to move the two white plastic clips on the rad support panel over to the opposite holes....You will get what im on about when you pull it apart.
Cheers.

Whack some H4s with decent globes in while you are at it. They are a spectacular improvement over the ten candle power originals.

I agree with that too. I scored some original H4's for mine.

I MIGHT have a square H4 headlight in the garage, got it with a bunch of Torana stuff so its either a LH or a UC.. i'll check.

thanks guys for all your advice thought you might all appreciate an update so here goes... square lights look good only if you intend on painting the car with LH blackouts IMO but as i intend on having a full black bonnet (LX style) round lights was always the plan, ill still hold onto the square headlight holders though... just incase i change my mind (unlikely). i took the advice and got some H4 lights, they fitted up realy easy thanks to the heads up about having to change the clip things over . so here they are all fitted and looking great. easy and cheap way to give the car a facelift!
