Just wanted to check if i had torana stubs on my LC as it had a HQ brake conversion when i purchased it. I looked through alot of threads and found some photo's here:
http://www.gmh-toran...opic=45416&st=0
and HQ here:
http://www.gmh-toran...showtopic=50018
and HQ cast numbers here:
hmmm.. can't find it now

I checked mine and there are no numbers that i can see on them. Looking at the photo's i could't see any noticable difference, so what stubs are these?

If they are HQ, do the Harrop Steering Arms fix the steering gemoetry on LC/LJ or just LX/LH/UC?
what then is the change in track?

Also what are the merrits of drop stubs? is it just getting more suspension travel?

Just want to have all my steering components correct before i order new rims shortly?

Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Ben

Got any picks of the disks???

They appear to be HQ callipers, but HQ disks have an integral Hub, And that doesnt look like a Torana Hub.

is the disk ventilated?

HQ callipers mount to both Torana and HQ stubs, just sit in different spots, very hard to tell from the picks you have shown.

Cheers.

First pic Bomber...HQ disc on it
The ones after are him playing with his new hubs etc

If that HQ disc is still 276mm diameter I'd say they are Q stubs
Which are technically "dropped" stubs for Toranas ... with different angles

The benefits of drop spindles allow you to lower your car using a full height spring. The ones I bought direct fit commodore callipers without adapters.

Cheers thanks for that, looks like i will have to rob the standard Torana ones out of the 4 door then.

Just for info will the Harrop steering arms fix the sterring geometry/bump steer issues when using HQ Stubs on LC/LJ's also???
