I had a mate of mine playing around with photoshop today...I wanted to see what my wheels might look like with a charcoal color center, While he was at it, he kind of laughed and said watch this..... and presto..

Oh and....

lol....amazing how easy it was to do as well, when you know how to use the correct program.

And this was more of what I had in mind, for the original photochop idea...

(and a pic of how the car actually is...)

In all seriousness, that pink photoshop looks badass.

He was sliding around the color controls on the photoshop program, and you can make it any color you can think of really, it is really something.

The pinky/magenta color is just where he happened to stop the slider control at one point. :)

I reckon the charcoal centres would be a step in the wrong direction. Much nicer as they are now.

The photoshops help show it how it would be at least...instead of just trying to picture it.  I do like how it looks now (which is why I built the wheels how I did) but the mind can tend to wonder with ideas, ha ha.

Plastidip is the current trend over here with young guys. Could try it on yours, dont like it, peel it off.

It's a big thing over here too of course.

Not my kinda deal though...

I still kind of trip out seeing the car in the different colors, ha ha..

Very Good Jeff,

I have seen a few Utes getting around with big wheels where they have the rim only painted the colour of the car. Dave I

p.s. try red on the rim / dish and leave the centre polished

Or just do what all the yanks do with their tuffy's
Rip the trim out, roll cage a pair of Kirkey seats and spray the whole car satin black..... :-P

Photoshop is awesome, wish i had a pc still....good for nothin bloody ipad

I like the look of the charcoal rims they go well with the blackouts.

Cheers

I like having trim, ha ha.. and the satin paint thing is pretty big over here actually...saw a satin charcoal new M3 bm'er today, and usually seem something like model in the flat sort of often.  Not really the look for paint work I would want though :)

And yep...the photoshop program is pretty cool! My mate has used it for all sorts of stuff, from photoshopping ideas for stuff around the house, car stuff, etc.

I disagree, the charcoal wheel centers break up the red base color of the car better imo. I give it the thumbs up. :spoton:

It helps show off the brakes more too with the charcoal :D

Funny, how you never know what you will find, in the strangest places...

A buddy of mine in Michigan, sent me a message saying he found something cool at a garage sale, and was sending it to me. Had no clue what it might have been ?

An envelope turned up today....with the cool patch on the left side!  (I have had the TORANA one for ages now..) but who would think a HOLDEN patch would turn up at a garage sale in Michigan, ha ha... :D

Little bit of an update....decided I would finally add a parking brake to the car. Come across some little calipers that looked the part so picked up a pair. They are from Wilwood..and after a little mock up the cable should be able to run in a perfect spot and bracket should be pretty straight forward I reckon..going to work on them tomorrow.

They are pretty small, and the pads are not too large, but I think it will be enough since I don't normally park on 45 degree hills or anything. :D

Got the first bracket made, just need to copy it for the other side (about half done with that) I need some 9/16" thick spacers now as well (I mocked it up using some washers for the moment) but that is easy enough..

Nice straight shot for the cables...

Also a picture (I will take a better one) of the mounting plate.. nice and simple. It is parallel to the rotor as well, looks a little angled from the way I was holding the phone is all.

Thanks !

Brackets painted up nice...just need to work out the cables now.

(and wait for the ARP bolts I ordered to get here in a day or two, to bolt them all on)

Just got all my ARP bolts to get them mounted up, so will finish them off tomorrow. :)

Then just a matter of ordering up and figuring on routing the cables...hmmmmm.
