I thought he was asking about whether they came out with orange coloured vinyl - not inserts. If so the answer according to the catalogue is "no they didn't".

I spoke to soon without checking - yes Indy Orange with Black and Orange inserts were an option on later cars - trim code 45L
Sorry about the confusion.

I know of one for sale and the owner says it came out as having Indy orange vinyl trim with the houndstooth inserts.Ive asked for trim codes and vin and im still waiting.I wonder if any 45L trim cars with Indy Orange paint actually got built. Would have been "in your face" At least the 45V Houndstooth added Black. My records show 45V and 45L used from SOP HG (June 1970) to end of Production and only with Warrigul Black, Kashmire White, Indy Orange (till SOP HQ) Kashmire White, Cinnimon Brown and Lone O'Ranger (after SOP HQ)

And the 45L is indy orange vinyl with indy orange houndstooth inserts.
I have a GTR that has 45L on its trim plate, should be indy orange paint with indy orange seats with indy orange houndstooth inserts. Its currently painted red, and has a black interior. Its in the shed, with a resto planning to start sometime in the future, but like alot of them, semms like it just keeps getting pushed out.
I did pickup a nos bottom seat cover from a forum member, and your right, its a pretty bright combo.
