i am sure convs in 15*8.5 with 3 3\8 bs have been fitted to the rear of lh toranas many times and was hoping some one could tell me what the diff length and axle lengths are for an un flared 4 dr lh as i am about to start building a 9" for it soon cheers
im needing the same ...lol cause im about to do the same but with flares with same size rims to.
i got told from rod tech to pull the stock diff out put the tyres in place and measure between the rims but my car is at the paint shop and he wants to keep it as a roller which is fair so ive been trying to find a diff length so i can get the diff ready for when the car is painted
thankx for any help

Doing a few diffs and measured up the A9X. Disc to disc its 1432mm, Will measure up a banjo drum to drum when the next car gets here on the 26th.
Did you get the chance?

standard width diff and no flares fits 15x8 with 5"bs perfectly, you do the maths.....
Hi Makka,
What tyre would you suggest for the 15x8 with 5" BS?
Cheers

ohhh what a can of worms it is fitting big wheels on unflared torries
Why is it so hard???
I was thinking a 245/60/15 on a 15x8.5, 5' BS as long as it's not too low? Anyone??
Keen to see what size tyre Makka is running.

I'll measure my diff when i'm under the car next as i'm still running the same length diff using 15x10" with 5" backspace and mini tubs.

basically you cut out a 1" strip of the floor pan and beat the arch back flush with the chassis rail. The next issue you will have with shortening you diff enough is the brakes will foul on the shock. So alot of blokes end up using commo mounts.
Also it is a can of worms becaus there are 100 way to achieve the result and some people like to tuck more of the wheel than others with out the arse of the car sitting up in the air.
