Hi All..
I am the proud owner of a very original 77 SL LX Hatch in the beautiful Chamois Colour (Some people like some don't)
I have resisted fitting flares etc for 5+ Years but I keep seeing Hatches with the Flair kits big rubber drop tank etc and love the look.
A mate has offered to help fit the kit including doing the Gaurd cutting for Nix which is very tempting , but I am unsure how a flaired Chamois Car looks.
Does anyone have pics of a flared chamois Hatch they could post up to help me make up my mind. Do I do it or Do I Leave it
Appreciate your Help..

Kev..
Thanks for the pic !! Doesn't look too bad!!
Gday Gerry..
good to hear from you, talk about good timing with the new member joining your club.
It's funny I have prtty much disregarded fitting flares until I could afford to change the colour as I thought it might look a little well not as nice as your usual Black/white Red/Black hatches etc.
It's funny I have the droptank, I have the bigger hotwire wheels etc...Just in case !!
some days it is nice to have a granpa spec looking car as you don't draw the attention of others but ,I passed a wedding on the weekend that a had 3 or 4 hatches and a couple of sedans all kitted up and they all looked great.
But the old "Do I Cut up a perfectly good hatch ??" question is always in my mind ,but then the car I have always wanted is flared !!
AHHH Decisions, Decisions
Thanks again Guys

same boat ^, i wouldn't mind having flares but i dont like the idea of cutting it up
. I think i'll just stay with flareless or possibly look into mini-tubs

same same mate, i also have this thought alot. There a lot you can do to increase the appeal without flairs.... the car HYJINX is one of the best examples.

shane no need to mini tub, there are some good mods you can do to get some fats under the rear, Have a look at greenmachine's hatch and also i think it is turbo77lx's sedan on how to mod the arch very discreetly.
