What are the differences between LH and LX seats? Are the frames of the seat different? Or any other physical differences?
LX seats have plastic backs, where LH seats have vinyl upholsetered backs.
I am unsure as to whether you can make a LH seat look like a LX seat or vice versa.

^^when you say different, do you mean difference in size, fitment etc or just in the stitching/pattern etc?

Early build LX SS Hatchbacks used the vynal back instead of the plastic backs

Rear Upper seat for the LH torana is a different molded shape in the centre top section. Rather than being straight across from one side to the other like an LX it sort of represents as separate left and right seats. If that makes sense? Try googling it to make it clearer!

Just curious as my seats have all been re-trimmed now I have the difficult issue of trying to figure out what a -60Y LH Chamois vinyl with Chevron Cloth trim seat looks like......
I have seen this -60A but I guess being a hatch its LX? Would the seat trim pattern be the same in LH?
Does the Chevron cloth go all the way to the top of the chair as in these pics???

My LH Seats
Probably could have cleaned them before i took the photos.
Oh well you'll get the idea LH SLR have a dip in the
rear at the top LX SLR don't.

My LH seats have a chrome centre in the winder at the side aswell I'm not sure if LX do.

What do you mean by chrome centre?
So It does appear that LX seats are different also in the way they are trimmed. So at a guess, my seats should have the chevron fitted in the same areas that you have the herringbone?
Are your seats original? Also is the back part of the front seats plastic?

The rear part of the front seats are boards trimmed in vinyl, not plastic backs like the LX range. Yes the LH seat insert panel is different, as shown correctly above by Darren. The very middle (round) section of the seat side winder/adjuster should also be chrome as mentioned above as well.

Ok, interesting about the trimmed seat boards. My seats are just all vinyl. These interior trim kits that Cools and other mobs make. would they be able to replicate this board?

if you look at the back of my front seats that is what we are talking about, it is a board trimmed in vinyl not the plastic cover(that always break)

How is it attached to the seat? Is it stiched into it? Or glued on?
