Externally it can be quite easy to change the paint scheme, add spoilers and decals.

The hard part is the trim and dash, depending on how exact you want to be.

The biggest problems will probably be finding the dash, console will be easy if it's an auto sunbird, hubcaps, steering wheel, all the little badges etc are the hard bits. Getting the mechanicals to match an SS is really easy - everything just bolts in :)

depends on what sunbird you looking at ,if its an lx all you need to change is the crossmember
everything else will be interchangeable.if its a uc as the others have said.

You need to have a look at Dirtbag's project.

Your Sunbird too can look like this:

Sorry, yes, everything bolts across if it's an LX. A decent amount of metalwork is required to convert a UC to an LX though!

The difference is in the trim level & some decals.
The body is the same m8.

Go for it!

Actually you will probably find the sunbird body in better shape structurally then higher powered sports type toranas. Most have never been driven hard or raced lol, so they make an excellent project car. 4 cylinder toranas have had very little body flex over their lifetime due to basically no weight up front.
