So far I have been suprised at all the good advice and expertise on the forums. I thought I may as well join up.
For those interested I have a LH Torana sedan which went from a manual 308, to a manual 350 chev, copped a paint job, guages interior, engine bay smoothing and then a turbo 400 which is manualised with a full motor rebuild and low comp forged pistons. Late last year I scored a GM style 6/71 blower and twin 600 carbs and whacked them on, unfortunately at the most recent Motorvation the motor melted and after contemplating my options I sold everything gearbox forward and have decided to start again.
Selling another pride and joy to continue funding this project I sourced a 400 chev with a 8/71 BDS blower and twin 750's... The motor is pretty special and runs a Dart little M block with Dart pro 1 heads and crower forged crank, crower billet rods a custom cam good gear throughout the heads and some other goodies... Jessel drive ect...
So I am about to embark on rewiring the whole car from scratch over the next month - installing the new motor - having custom coolant tanks built to expand my capacity of coolant, finishing up all the ANDRA tech stuff - blower restraints - blower belt guard - 4L blower oil catch can installing a 57L fuel cell aeromotive pump and half inch lines and hopefully getting it all ready for Powercuise in 6 weeks. Ha!
I enjoy doing burnouts and just heading out to the track... Once my pocket has recovered from this years chaod I am hoping to trade shells into a full decked drag car or 4 link and tub the rear of my car and try my luck at some racing.
I have tried to post a thread like 5 time and it either times out or something else happens... GGRR! Ha either way - I have learnt from many mistakes and had a ball on the way. Feel free to comment or ask questions about my photos and story of pics.
Nice to meet you all.
This is how it all began in QLD

Then after a bit of TLC - VOILA!!
