Will this puppy get me a yellow sticker in WA??
I cant stand it but its what the previous owner put on it.
I don't know if you can see them in the photo but it also has holes for bonnet pins.
But no pins...
Ive been avoiding driving it until i find another bonnet.

yes that scoop will land you a yellow sticker, they are not factory fitted, there fore illegal, there is a legal height that scoops are allowed to go to, so find out the law and then measure it.

stupid thing is even std torana scoops are illegal...

The ncop rules state whats legal for bonnet scoops. It's all to do with vision. I reckon that would be close to being ok.

Wrong A hole in the bonnet makes it ilegal wiith rear facing hole scoop in WA. Seal hole like a shaker passes not a prob.Yes there are height diamentions, STD torana scoops are legal if no waste from engine bay can imapair vision of windscreen .Been there done that at Midland inspection pits.

But wasnt the bonnet hole STD on A9X? That's the line I used when questioned about the hole in my bonnet by the license centre & the engineer.

I thought I saw a blanking plate kit in the parts manual to cover the hole if it wasn't wanted. Too hard to check using my phone...

That was true before the NCOP was introduced.

See the link above in the post by lx308. The current rules in WA for bonnet scoops start on page 12 which includes a picture of a rear facing scoop.

A bonnet scoop manufactured from a plastic or fibreglass material may be fitted, providing that the hole in the original bonnet does not substantially reduce the strength or impact resistance of the bonnet and no rigid component, such as an air cleaner or carburettor, protrudes beyond the original bonnet profile

When I bought my car to WA and took it over the pits there were a few things I had to get engineered ect to pass. After one inspection and the 3 inspections by welshpool not one word was mentioned about my hole/ scoop or original bonnet line air cleaner protruding? Go figure. I thank god though :)
