I am in the middle of getting together all parts required to change my rocket over to a manual from a three speed truamatic. I was wondering if anyone can give me some information about the hole required in the floor to allow the gear shifter through. If you have any photos and measurements i would really appreciate it. I live in Sydney, and would happily come out to measure up as an option,

The 245mm is from the front handbrake lever hole from memory. I'll check tomorrow if no-one else confirms.

that is some terrific information, and much appreciated. With some of the pictures I have seen, the hole is actually offset, towards the drivers side, but I have an aussie 4 speed going in, with a rat trap clutch setup, so I have assumed that this would have been centre located. I thank you for this confirmation.

I thought there was, but apparently they stopped doing it around the September 1970 time period. If you have the oppurtunity, would you be able to do a drawing for me of the original hole, and its position on the tunnel hump?

shouldn't be a problem, but i will not know their condition until i get them out. Timing for this will be at least a month, as I will be moving house. When I get them out i will send you aa photo of them.

I came across a GTR last week and took some measurements and pics.

The hole was off centre to the passenger side but I must admit I'm not confident with by how much. I think it's 37mm as per pic. When I got home I couldn't quite understand my markings on the paper. :banghead:
