Hi guys,

Looking to buy a good quality car cover for the LC. Was hoping to find one that is super soft. Doesn't need to be waterproof as the car only lives in the shed.

Any idea where to get one? All the auto shops have those plastic waterproof crappy ones.

Cheers,

Phil

so you just want it to keep the dust off? there are very thin ones, im not sure what the material is called but they are just for dust/dirt. or you can use some old bedsheets! works for me

I just use some old bed sheets and a thin, non waterproof cover on my car. I just got mine form supercheap. It wont scratch the car because the sheets dont allow it to ever touch the car but all the dust sticks to cover. Every now and again, just stick the cover in the washing machine and she is all good to go again.

I got a nice soft one about 4 years ago. I think it was from Super Cheap. it didn't like being outside, it fell apart within 18 months. But it did breathe and keep the dust and crap off when I just had it in the garage.

I have a covercraft

Absolutely love it, but i wont put it on a dirty car (which it is right now!!)

They were great to deal with, and it was exactly as described.

Cheers!

Here is a pic of my baby under the car cover. I have used this non water proof cover and bed sheets for the last 5 years and had no issues with moisture build up, dust on paint or unwanted scratches. I never put the cover on when the car is hot or wet. I also dust the Torana before putting the cover on so the next chance I get to take her out, she is spotless and ready to go.

Ive got a Cheif car cover for both the Gemini and Torana... when I first got it there was alot of orange lint left on the car from the cover, but after using it a few times it all "linted out" There custom made so fit perfectly and it seems to keep all the dust out.

I was thinking about using a heap of old t-shirts I have and making a cover for the car. Shirts have some sentimental attachment so I dont really want to chuck them or rag them plus it would make for something different. A chick at work is happy to sew them up for me (for nothing as she owes me a favour or two).

Car is stored under cover so it is really just to keep the dust and gecko shit off.

i know covewrs are good but to be honest i love walking in and seeing the cars all fresh and looking the goods, nice when when folk are around they can see pride and joys, covers only go on if i need some to go ino shed to do work but then i tend to move the ones i dont wont them to see

I have cheap and exe ones light ones from supercrap are the way to go i think cause a quick wash there back on again, heavy ones are a nigth mare, BUT i do love that last torrie that covers nice,

Also is that just a flag sown onto the cover above???

If they still looked good without a cover it'd be great. But if I leave my car parked for just 1 day it's already covered in a layer of dust :(

I use one of these. indoor only. very soft inner.
Autotecnia
The only fear i have with a car cover is it picking up a small rock or something
while it is off. i keep it always off the ground hanging on a hook when not on use
can't remember the price though.
