Made my weekend, i haven't heard that expression for near on 20 years.
We almost missed the show as i couldn't find the keys on Sunday morning, spent ages looking around till i finally checked the car. There they were sitting on front seat, had been all night.
Had to find a fruit shop, get some packing tape and break in like the old days.
Made it late but they still let me in. Hadn't had a chance to clean the car though so i was a bit embarrassed till i saw that shitty LJ they'd just pulled out of a lake.
Great people, great cars, great weather, great weekend.
Chris.

Here's a picture.
You'll notice everyone has turned their back on the outcast Sunbird with Starfire sitting proudly up front.
Ah, buggered if i can upload a photo!

Thank you all for your support. Our club can build it but if you don't support us then this is all in vain.
Toranafest is for us all to come together and have fun. This includes the VIP's. Thanks to you guys for showing the respect that these guys deserve. Phil Brock whilst pointing to both Mick and I demanded we invite him to next years event. Brian Sampson does not do car shows or events like this usually. Brian said he would return if invited. Des West is not very well but had his daughter drive him from Sydney just for a few hours so he could attend.
I guess this festival is run by Torana enthusiasts for Torana enthisiasts and we all support a BL**DY fantastic cause in Ronal McDonald House in doing so.
Thanks to all for supporting the auctions in the way you did. A number wanted to pay overs as the money went to a great cause.
That is the Torana spirit for sure.
I would also like to congratulate Todd Martin for winning the Tony Mattingly Award and Rick and Yvonne for winning the Neville Bridges HVTC Club Spirt Award.
Hope you can come next year and help us celebrate 20 years of the Hunter Valley Torana clubs TORANAFEST.
Regards
Pete Morris
Club President.

Was my old torana there this year? Just wondering as id be interested to see any pics if its changed at all. Blue LX with commodore v6?

never have i seen so many torry,s in one place
Yeah, you also get a bit of a come-down after the fest.
Driving home there were a few times I’d hear a rumble beside me and look around expecting to see a Torana but sadly only saw Foongadores.

A big thank you to Mick, Pete and the team at HTC for yet again organising the greatest Torana Show in the world, I don’t envy the work load. Thank you to Tammy, Brett, Amy and the Moto Farm crew for making our stay and Saturday night run smoothly, we’ll be back next year. It was great to catch up with Keith, Gene, Tiny and Simone, Big T, Ruts and It’s Paul and other forum and club members again also the individual(non club) owners. Thank you for making 2012 another record breaker. Let’s crack 300 next year.

I experienced my first Toranafest on the weekend and i was very impressed with the running of the event from all angles , mick and pete and your team at HVTC deserve a pat on the back , well done guys .
The saturday night meet and greet dinner was a great night also , was great to chat to the legends and owners . Ha ha the J.D,s went down well too.
A great allround mixture of different toranas some modified and some concourse from all models and never have i seen so many torry,s in one place at the same time , just awesome cars and an appreciation for the work gone into them.
And mostly amazing the friendly atmosphere of the torana owners , especially the canberra torana club guys and girls and for there generous hospitality , the bacon and egg sanga,s sunday morning were bloody good , thanks Laurie !!
If Nigel and Kathlene are listening thanks for the seat on an enjoyable cruize saturday arvo in your lovely ultra blue 4 door .
I,ll be back !!
Cheers Shaun.
Hi shaun no worries thanks for a top weekend hope to do it again.

AND I am regretting not taking an interior shot.
No flares, no rear spoiler, no hidden wiring, no over-riders and no bonnet scoop but how sweet does this one look
Barry
Sorry to Craig for all of my drooling on his car
