Hey guys, I got a aftermarket set of seat belts made up for my LH 4-door but they dont seem to sit nicely in the back above the seat. Im just wondering if Ive somehow fitted them wrong or if the original ones were a different design... of if its just how they are?

Not bad... But they cant supply you with the right bolts. so you need to have your original ones. They pre-drilled out my holes to half inch but I still had to drill out the hole for the swivel mount at the top of the B-pillar myself because it has that little "bushing" that is bigger then half inch that allows it to swivel.

I got the box home, fitted the front 2 then laid out the ones for the rear and I was missing the middle lap belt!

Went to fit the two side sashes and I was like wtf this seems wrong.

So took them back and told them about the missing middle belt... No questions asks they said sorry and would supply one, Then I showed them the sashes and he said yep someone fkd up and put it on back to front. Come back in half an hour and we will have it all fixed and a new middle belt for you.

So yep came back about 40mins later and they fixed the sides and supplied a middle....

Got home and the middle belt is way way way too long, even adjusted to the max I could still fit 2 of me in there. No doubt they will be happy to shorten it for free but fk means I goto find another time during business hours to get down there.

But now Im not sure if the ones pictured above are right?

So yeh the quality of there stuff seems good.. but there quality control and checking they have supplied the right thing could be better. But at least they handled it very well and happy to fix any frOckups

I used seatbelt solutions myself but I reused all my original buckles bar one and just had them rewebbed. Fairly pricey though and yes I had a bit of an issue with poor communication at the end but I was just stocked to have new belts with nice looking original buckles :)

They couldnt offer me the original style buckles... apparently they had one fail in service and are investigating if it was a one off or a problem with the design. so until its sorted they cant sell any.

Not that my car is all original anyway so I wasn't worried, I just wanted legal belts. But yes... Expensive, $620 for full 4 door set.

Strange I'm sure mine was closer to $900 and I supplied all the buckles bar 1 ??

wow, mine was definitely $600 odd, did they have to re-condition your buckles or anything?

Yep so looks like its the wrong way around and the adjuster should be on the inside doh. So they had it right the first time, just seemed odd to me and then their guy said it was wrong.
