I have been doing some research in regards to repairing/ replacing the doeskin trim in my tornana. I have a couple of questions..
I have attached my VIN code which states I have doeskin trim.
1868-63V

1. I can see that doeskin is smiliar to chamoios, but which parts are different (arm rests/ door trim/ console/ padded console lid)?
2. The door trims are fadded and knocked about. What options do you know of for repairing/ replacing (including the wood inserts)
2. I also need to repair the drivers seat and some of the vinyl on the passenger seat.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

62V here
Similar looking seats, dash and doortrims
But my crashpad and vinyl sections on the dash are brown
The console and doorcards match though

Check Norms book or the 2 stickies in this section... they might help abit too

Hi I have 63V as well on my tags and have always wondered what it looks like. Although mine is the SLR so the door trims would be a different pattern. It's interesting to see what was black and what was doeskin. If you look in Torana Tough or I think back on this thread it tells you exactly what part was what colour.
Don't give up with restoring ur interior as I think it's a pretty rare combo! :D

Hi Kirsty Ann,

I owned an LH SL with featured 1885-62V, a mixture of Chestnut and Doeskin which really looked the part.

I have attached a couple of pics for you.

Wow Alf I loved that interior and car. Sadly to say(my opinion anyhow) it has completely changed now on the outside.
Hope you well. Do you still own the GTR?

I see that you have the same seat vinyl as my Torana. I noticed that the vinyl on that torana is in perfect condition :) Did you replace the pattered trim inserts (not the plain vinyl) ? If so do you know who would have any or if you have any yourself? I have obtained some plain doeskin vinyl but not the patterned vinyl :(

Hi Alf
Could you possibly put those pics in the Interior Trim Codes sticky
Be a shame for them to be lost in the depths of the forum

KristyAnne,

I am in the process of sourcing the fawn gazelle perforated material from the USA for my LH torana. I asked about the vinyl you are after. They have something 'similar' but unfortunately it isn't an exact match. I had to go overseas as everyone I asked (including Cools) do not have the material in stock (to quote someone it 'isn't popular').
Keep trying.
Phillip

yes that is the company i am dealing with for the fawn gazelle material for my LH.
I have also bought some twill for a vinyl roof on a Fraud coupe, only place I can source it.
