Good stuff there Mark.

Hopefully we'll see you out cruising around the city somewhere sooner rather than later.

Always helps to have good people around you (like the forum pretty much)

Pics will be good, everyone loves progress!

Hey Guys,

Well it's been awhile since my bold statement of 'stop dreaming and start doing'.. haha so thought I'd give a little update on what's been going on.  I'll provide credit for the work at a later stage but just thought I'd mention that it's all been done by a workshop and not by me.. though I've been doing a lot of hard work earning the money for this project haha

I'll let the pictures do the talking..

The starting point (pretty neat huh)

Looks great.  Is it still going to be blue with a chev?

Spot on early 74 cars were lower, 75 onward LH went to higher mounted in the nose.

Your front apron is the early type. I was told but someone that your type was used on the L34. The later ones were used to change the height of the front indicators as per ADR's. I could be wrong but if I am I guess I will be put in my place by someone.

So awesome mate.

That engine bay looks perfect, a lot of time must have been spent to make it look that good.

Keep up the good work.

@308mate - the plan is still to put a chev in it (have got one lined up) but my colour choice has changed! I'm not sure what came over me because I've been dreaming of a blue torana for years!! Haha but yeah colour started going on the other week and I'm pretty stoked with how it's looking so far. I'll post some pics later down the track but it's a difficult colour to capture in a picture. Looks different every time I take a photo! Anyways will be something to keep yas all intrigued for a bit haha
@sibhs - thanks mate! I'm super pumped! Just wish the finances were a little more favourable so I could get this beast on the road sooner! But I know that it'll be worth the wait!
@NeilsLX - cheers for the additional input on that query mate I like knowing these types of 'fun facts' about the car haha
@SLEDGE - thanks for your comments mate! As mentioned earlier I can't take credit for the work but I have provided a fair amount of input in directing what I want out of the project & a tidy engine bay was certainly up there on my list of things that make me smile! Can't wait to see some shiny bits in there!
@LC-069 - I think it may have been fabricated but I can check with the guys on the weekend

Just measured up the side pipes for the RAT ( 1830mm ), and 70" will be perfect:-

Dave - can you point me in the direction of the RAT? i.e. Do you have a thread you can link?

AL - I just read your thread mate and all I can say is WOW! Your car is looking insane!! The workmanship is immaculate. Definitely has a great vibe to the car and I'm sure it will be a real gem when it's finished. The effort you've put into the kit is going to be well worth it too, those flares are looking beautiful. The guys at the workshop had all the same problems with the ones they're fitting to mine with the inconsistent thickness and dipping in etc.. I hope mine turn out as good as yours once they're finished! Same deal with the rear spoiler, lots of waves in it etc a lot of time went into getting it real straight and sitting nice. Looking again at my pics it looks like my boot lid gap is probably a few mm though I think mine attaches different to yours, I don't recall the spacers will have to look over some other pics (because it's disassembled at the moment due to some painting being done). Anyways, I look forward to watching your progression as I can definitely feel a sense of familiarity to my project! Have you got a timeline for the build?

Mine will be in the Future some Time, and the Heading of the Your Thread got me thinking it was for Everybody Sorry Mate.

Dave - can you point me in the direction of the RAT? i.e. Do you have a thread you can link?
