This is the book as we have to build our cars to in NZ it covers everything from chassis to windscreen washers so we do have comply with rules.
you have to buy the novel from New Zealand hot rod association $250.00 for non members or $150.00 for members.
Because my car has had 60% cut out it is a scratch built car witch means it gets registered as 77 Torana replica.

cheers Aaron

well the weather over here getting better so fishing for me not so much car time but have taken chassis into town and put on a computerised chassis aligner at a collision repair shop cost me $100. to say it all good he did nothing to it so i'm pretty happy with my efforts so far went to see certifier while it was on trailer he was happy too now got a glue the two together and have rolling again in time for Christmas .

You've been looking for a suitable width manual rack to replace the power steer one (most of us would love to have the power steer!) but don't seem to be having much luck as yet. If the rack that came with it still fits nicely around everything, why not convert that to manual? It should be as simple as welding/fixing the valve in the pinion housing in place, then if you ever wanted to change back you could probably replace that part. Could be cheaper than replacing it and means you have everything as designed to suit the front end geometry, or would the ratio be too tight?

yes i know what you are saying about keeping the power and it would be cheaper too but its just something else in the bay. I have looked at converting it but its in the LVVTA book not aloud to weld steering compoants have been talking to steering guy today who has been talking to certifier we may be away around it should know by end of this week. keeping this rack would save a bit of time and hassle. but a least it new and dose'nt need a rebuild
