Hey guys. I'm going to strip a UC sedan tomorrow. It's very rusted and has already been parted out somewhat. Star fire engine and 4 speed. I was only going to get the drivers rear door (very rusted but has enough for me to repair mine) for my LH but I figure I might as well take what I can.

My question to you is what else should I get whilst I'm there?

What would the doors be worth if they were in good condition?

If there is a bump stop on the floor pan above the diff centre let me know how much you want for it.

If the roof is OK then store that too.
Brad (brought a roof so just thought it was a good idea)

Yep, I agree the Roof, if you have the room keep the whole car as long as you can if you are doing a resto, it will come in handy for rust repair. Cheers Aaron.

Going to grab the diff (not sure what I'll do with a small salisbury) K-Frame and bits. I'll look for that Bump stop for you Arrimar. Don't think the roof will fir in the back of the Pajero but I'll give it a go. I get shot if I bring the whole car back.

There is no trim :(

Does it have rear discs?

No rear discs - drums only.

Doors are bits of metal held together with rust.

What about the center console with the tunnel, a lot of people like to put that hand brake setup in LH/LX's. I wouldn't mind doing that conversion.

All done. I got what I could. The boys there are going to remove the diff and K-Frame for me next week. I was going to have them cut out a few bits for me including the trans tunnel but they wanted to charge me another $150 for it so I let it go.

Parts taken:-

Steering column- steering wheel to uni joint
Drivers seat
Passenger seat base
Brake booster
Brake master
Bonnet hinges
Heater blower
4 doors
Tail lights (really don't know why I took these)
Plenum cover
Instrument cluster
Air chief radio
Heater core box
And a couple of other random bits

As you can see, there is a small bit of damage to the top of it. PM me your details and you can have it.

HEy Liam

are you still able to get items off the Sunbird?

If so, I would be interested in a couple of things..

the Dissy out of the Starfire, and

the plenum drain tubes (if they are ok).

cheers

Mick

When I see a UC I think of non sticky internal sunvisors!!!! Well worth getting a good set for the price of a UC alone.
