Here is an example of different leverage lengths which would decide on the ratio's as well:-

Change to UC. Have a look at my IP thread or my build. Had a few troubles this weekend as you will read!! What class are you setting your Torana up for?

Hi simon.

Use the one in best nick.

The reality is, for a circuit car, all three k frames are identical for your purpose. You are going to modify the k frame for competition anyway so it won't matter.

What will matter, is getting the top UC arms , as they have a different location for the top balljoint which will affect your castor setup.

Thanks fellas, I had set the car up for sprints and regularity events however had an altercation with a concrete barrier at an event in Albany last weekend after a master cylinder problem.I now have to replace right hand chassis rail, two fenders, bonnet, nose cone, radiator support panel, bumper and front end etc etc.So since I am starting from scratch and have scored a couple of donor shells for parts I want to do it the best way possible.I was going to get Wilkinson suspension to put it altogether and set it up.

What are your thoughts

Wilkinson's will look after you.

regarding the steering rack, if you have a number of them for choices ,post the numbers and i'll be able to tell you the ratios.

What brake setup are you going to use,I was going to use AP calipers that Dattoman advised but my budget is less now I am rebuilding car so I was thinking of wilwood superlites 6 on front and 4spot on back with balance bar pedal setup

The options I canvassed were the AP CP5200 4 pot, CP5570 6 pot with a 28mm rotor and what I got which is the CP5555 which I got second hand but un-used through another forum member. I am ordering a 330 x 32mm rotor to suit them. There is heaps of choice!! You may even be able to get some good Ex-NASCAR calipers off EBay? A mate of mine got a great set of AP pedals of Ebay for example. IP require pedals to be within 70mm of original position, so I got a Tilton hydraulic brake and clutch overhung mount 600 series. Brake MC are 3/4 front and 5/8 rear, with the balance bar. I made my own brackets to mount the pedal assembly.

Cheers for that, I just checked out link for the tilton pedal mount,I have just fitted clutch pedal & mc that came with Tremec gearbox so looks like it might be easier to get rid of that and put twin pedal setup.

How was the fitment, i've heard mixed responses.

Been tossing up wether to grab one or just make one myself.

I think his prices are a bit north of premium.

if you are happy with it, stick with it and run the standard brake setup.

Fitment was perfect it all went straight in easy, cost was just over five grand for gearbox, bell housing, clutch, shifter, yoke, clutch pedal and mc but made my own gearbox mount. Do you know if can get single pedal setup for brake
