LH LX hi note horns all the same. Wire from low to hi note horn went engine side of radiator support on LH and along front on LX.
LH sl,s used them as well as the SLR and SS,s. Good luck finding one but not impossible

Here I was thinking the high note horn for torana was like on the H series - a curly rams' horn type like the low note.
Never seen one like that Brad..they must be rare then.
I even found me a high note one but I guess it is the wrong type then...bugger!

Brad, i just finished blasting and painting my Hi note horn and put it back together but not sure if there was a gasket either side of the disc to seal it to the body.

I think there was a very thin cork gasket. I'll have to re check my pics. Once I re-assembled my horns, I connected it up to the 12v supply on the bench at work and tuned it to draw the current outlined in the manual. That gives them its specific tone.

Weet-bix box. The bushies gasket. Works for everything from thermostat housings to whatever.
The "low not" horn is what I got. Used on on Premiers & Statesmans and they sound very USA as a pair. Guessed they used the same. I had a spare left over from my Premier rebuild.

That'd collect water, wouldn't it be a rust opportunity?

You might be right, I have used it on the thermostat housing without issue. (roadside leak fix out back of nowhere)
Perhaps Mort you might try the proper gasket sheet.
It would be terrible your hooters ( ) rusting after all that effort to rebuild it.

Nobody likes looking at a pair of old worn out hooters.
