Can someone please tell me if the four cylinder lj torana 1972 came out with the same front end as the TA or HB, I have a 1972 lj Torana 2 door sedan that i am trying to sell but am getting a lot of negitive feed back suggesting it is not a LJ at all, The compliance plate says it is a LJ but because the front end does not have the point on it a lot of people are questioning the model.

Cheers Rod Allen

4 cylinder is more or less the same sheet metal hb through ta, lc and lj included.

There are some minor changes bit nothing the average punter will pick, and by the sounds these lads giving you feedback are a fair bit below the level of the average punter.

Cheers.

Up for aution is a 1972 LJ Torana Coup.

There is rust in the usual places eg: front quarter panels, minimal rust in the back quater panels, divers side sill is quite bad the passenger side is fine.

Seats will need replacing or reupolstered.

I have had a lot of emails about the model of this car because of the shape of the front end, i am no expert on toranas but the compliance plate says 1972 LJ 2 door sedan

The car does need some work but everything is there, nothing missing, and would make a great project for someone

The motor had a bad oil leak when i parked it in the shed but it was running.

I suggest you come have a look at it but will be happy to try and answer any questions

Call Rod 0412236475

this is taken from your add on ebay it is a 4 cyl lj 72 model other than that rod tell them piss off.

ps what sort of dollars are you chasing for the car and what nik are the rear quarters in rust wise???

cheers gong

Sound like they haven't heard of 4 cylinder Toranas.

None of them had the point, only the 6 Cylinder versions.

Assuming they can read, they may find this helpful - https://en.wikipedia...i/Holden_Torana

The 4 cyl Torana bonnet has a point, just not as big as the 6 cyl.

has got HB front end except for a different grill . so I suppose you could say it is a Lj coupe/HB hybrid of sorts. which is what a TA is. LJ from the a pillar back, HB forward.
