VH329, VH345, VH346?

The car is currently a six want to convert to an V8

Cheers & Thanks!

329 is straight rod

345 looks like the 329 but has the bent rod

346 looks like the Commodore booster and should be the most correct looking for that year

No I don't have one, just wanted to know which one is required when fitting a V8. The one currently fitted is a VH279

279 as you know is a single diaph bent rod unit

So the 345 or 346 would work

Hi Dattoman,
I recently purchased a VH345 but was sent a VH320 instead, it does have a bent pushrod though, looks massive. Do you know if these are the same as a VH345 ?
Cheers
Lee

I'd say you got a VH320 cannister

A 320 will go nowhere near fitting a Torana so I'd say its a mod job if it fits

This is a 320 style unit... real long rear rod

Thanks Neil.

Is the canister the same size as the VH345, will it fit anyway or should I send it back?. The one I have does not have the long push rod, I will try and post a pic.

Cheer

Lee

I'd say they have used a 320 cannister to make a 345 if thats what they charged you for and it has a bent rod

Its just a cannister... makes no difference what number is on it

Should look like this with a bent pushrod
