Hello everyone I'm new to this forum a friend recommended I go on this to get all my questions answered.

First of all I'm trying to sell a Torana shell that I have that's been sitting at the house for years so I thought it was about time it goes. I need help on what to find to put in a description to sell the more information the more I can give people on the listing.

I'm a female with no idea at all about cars my dad says its an original shell in great condition but I know ill need more than those words to be able to sell it.

Please help me :) thanks heaps if you do

Pictures are worth a thousand words. If its a genuine SLR pictures of the tags and chassis number will be worth ten thousand words.

Hi Nikki, like Brett has said throw up some pics, this thread will help you with that. http://www.gmh-toran...-post-pictures/

By tags he means the the three metal plates in the engine bay on the firewall ( the wall at he back of the engine bay ), one each side and one in the middle, they will have a lot of numbers on them.

The chassis number is in the engine bay on the driver side at he front of the bay near the radiator on a flat plate like the one the battery sits on.

You said you don't know anything about cars so hopefully I have explained it enough for you to find the information we need to help you identify the shell and see the pics ( we love pics :spoton:).

Why not ? Could well be worth a look by the sounds of it if you live in Perth.

to start with Nikki, its not an SLR, but as a hatchback, you will probably get a couple of good dollars for it.

that will depend on what the tags read and if that inner number matches them tags,,, then the more original matching items you have for the car the more it will be worth.

A few hints it is an SL hatch - remnants of woodgrain dash, steering wheel and front seats but the tags will say it all if you have them. Weather it is SS or SL will substantially change what people will pay but any good rust free hatch will pull good $$.

It'll be an SL. I'm guessing its a 90's resto buy the colour it's likely they're will be bog in it. Rear guards are cut aswell.

But it does have the doors reclining UC hatch seats, rear hatch and the mystical hatch console.

If you have glass, the 3 tags match the chassis and the rust is not structural or too horrible you might be Able to find a buyer in the range of 5-7k

Thanks for the help guys. Another quick question if it doesn't have tags, I'm assuming not worth much? People are interested in it and keep asking price so my next question is if it has matching tags and all that what's a good price to sell . If no tags and like it is in photos how much is a good price to sell. I don't want to ask for too much and be laughed at as most guys tend to do when they see a joke yet I don't want to sell for cheap as chips . Thanks, this forum is definetley better then word of mouth you guys know your stuff :)

Ice is on the money, the rusty hatch i sold, got $4000 for it purely because it had tags and they had never been removed.

Most important question is, who is the registered owner?

Not sure why that's the most important question. I'm finding all this info for my partner as it's his.
