Too all the panel beating guru's.

My bonnet sits lower against the passenger guard.  This guard has been replaced at some stage and I'm looking for a way of fixing this without removing the guard.  Hey, it may be the bonnet is flat in that area?

Fits nice at top and bottom but about 40cm from top the guard sits about 3-4mm higher. See pics.

Guard does seem to curve up more than the drivers side, my immediate thought is to run a grinder down the upright section of the guard so it can be pulled down and rewelded.?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Marty

Marty,

Dress the edge of the guard down with a block of wood and a hammer or dress the edge of the bonnet up to match the guard.

Most important thing is to work out if it's the guard or the bonnet that is wrong.

Dressing the edge of the bonnet will be the easiest.

Thanks Dave, I had a panel beater friend of a friend come over for a look at some problems. Here is what he suggested and it worked. Hi Craig, Should see what I've done to the other side to get a gap correct. Very scary! Attached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1382190457.004430.jpg   117.25K   2 downloads

Good on ya Marty.

There's always a solution to a problem.

Cheers

Dave.
