Is that 400 at the wheels? Glad ur happy with it. Numbers can be out on dynos big time. Big test will be 1/4 times

400 at the flywheel had good torque which is the most important part should go well

Dyno chart ?

Yeah it would be good to see so I can compare the chart with mine seeing you got it dyno'ed at the same place, probably on the same dyno.

Few differences in my engine. HQ heads, crane cc-280 solid cam, 308 crank with an edelbrock performer manifold. Almost the same horsepower. Mine goes nice on the street with the Muncie 4 speed especially now it has the 15 inch rims its not screaming on the highway anymore.

Nice result Wayne.

400 from HQ heads is always a win.

That dyno looks about right to, hp should equal torque at 5252rpm, and a rough guestimate on that chart looks like it would be close.

Cheers.

Wayne whats your diff ratio?

Diff ratio is 3.55 and the gearbox ratio is 1st-2.52 2nd-1.88 3rd-1.46 and 4th obviously 1.00. Much better than the Saginaw gearbox I use to have in it which was a 3.11 1st gear and a pain to drive on the street.

Thanks Bomber pretty happy with how it drives. A manual is always so much more fun although will lose a bit of time down the track.

Got to be happy with that Ryan, how did you find Eugene?

Obviously the 355 bottom end makes a big difference to HP. Anyone know how much extra HP you get from VN heads over HQ heads? I have heard a lot about these Harrop single plane manifolds, how much would that give you over an Edelbrock performer? The only problem I can see with these single plane manifolds is clearance issue with the bonnet.

Yeh pretty happy with the figures , hoping it drives nice on the road with the cam ..... single plain manifold would of given me 20-40 hp gain and more with a bigger cam ...... i dont wanna race it at the track so what i have is plenty i think :)

Gee 460 out of the factory. I dont think mine have even been ported to be honest. A change to VN heads then would have to give me a fairly big gain you would think.

Depends on what you intend to do with it maybe not worth the massive extra expense

Hey mate. I've got 288bhp with 549nm. Max rpm 5400
LC Torana trimatic with 9in diff 3.70 and ran a best of 12.24 with wheel spin. With ur diff ratio prob somewhere round the same maybe a tad slower.
In my opinion anyways
